The Cartier Santos large model is crafted following the specifications of the original WSSA0018, featuring the mechanical self-winding 1847 MC movement within a refined stainless steel case and a signature seven-sided crown set with a faceted synthetic spinel. Its silver opaline dial is complemented by blued sword-shaped hands under a sapphire crystal, presenting the timeless aesthetic of the Santos line. The case measures 39.8 mm in width and 9.08 mm in thickness, while the overall dial dimensions extend to 39.8 × 47.5 mm. The watch comes with a stainless steel bracelet using the SmartLink sizing system, along with an additional calfskin strap and interchangeable steel deployant buckle. Both straps are fitted with Cartier’s QuickSwitch mechanism, allowing effortless strap changes. Water resistance reaches up to 10 bar, ensuring reliable performance in daily wear. Based on the 2020 Santos 100 XL configuration, this piece follows the original design in stainless steel with an 18-karat bezel, sapphire crystal, and the same interchangeable strap system, presented in a style consistent with new Cartier packaging and documentation.
